An invisible man starts killing people in STAR Labs and infects Christina with a deadly virus. Can the Flash stop this man and find an antidote before it’s too late?
A decent ticking-clock mystery, though unlike actual mystery shows there’s no way that the audience at home can solve it for themselves. But it’s not really a mystery show, it’s a superhero show, and I guess I don’t mind the plotlines but even old timey comics knew in order to properly set up a solvable crime you had to at least give a few people for the audience to suspect.
Then there’s the villain here who doesn’t have motivations that make any actual sense. He’s really against people getting killed meaninglessly, so he kills people in STAR Labs because they were researching chemical weapons…somewhere. But the people he’s killing aren’t the ones developing chemical weapons, if anyone actually is. Talk about meaningless murders…
Outside of those two things though, this episode was pretty great.
SCORING:
+10: Could have been right up there with other great episodes
-1: When is a mystery show not a mystery show? When it’s 90s Flash I guess.
-1.5: Villain’s motivation is totally bonkers
