Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is a CSI working with his step-father Joe in the police department. But then he’s struck by lightning while the Particle Accelerator explodes and becomes the Flash. Iris, Joe’s daughter and Barry’s best friend (who he’s secretly in love with) starts dating Eddie while Barry is in a coma for nine months. A metahuman called Weather Wizard starts robbing banks around Central City.

This is a good pilot, has a good mix of action, adventure, and introductions. I know that Barry can’t become the Flash over night but I do wish things could have had a bit more action, but still. It’s a decent show.

Eddie feels right away like a copy-paste of Tommy right away. I mean, that’s essentially what he is. Also, it’s just yet another love-triangle written in to stir up drama. Love triangles are stupid, don’t force one on us just because you can’t have characters together right away or whatever.

SCORING:

+9: Good pilot, except for a thing or two

-1: Eddie is just there to stir up drama
