As evidence against Howard Stark mounts, Peggy and a small unit from the SSR are ordered to sneak into Russia and team up with Dum Dum Dugan and his gang of rough riders who, along with Carter, once fought alongside Captain America.
This one was more of a mystery-spy episode and wasn’t nearly as action packed, but like any good noir in the second act, everyone is suspecting everyone, and no one looks good as the dirt starts to pile up. Actually, are there any spy-noir-mystery films out there? They should really make those.
So, aside from demonstrating that there’s one subgenre Hollywood hasn’t milked to death, this episode was also very intense and exciting as action starts to amp and we discover more about both Leviathan and Dottie’s past, a Russian assassin who’s trying to get to Stark’s stolen technology before Agent Carter or the SSR can.
+10/10: I like it when episode are willing to try something different like changing from the normal fast-paced action and have something slower with more mystery and tension, until the action-packed ending anyway
