Supergirl s1e2: Stronger Together

“Stronger Together” — When Kara\’s attempts to help National City don\’t go according to plan, she must put aside the doubts that she — and the city\’s media — has about her abilities in order to capture an escapee from the Kryptonian prison, Fort Rozz, when SUPERGIRL moves to its regular time period, Monday, Nov. 2 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. After Kara saves a boatload of people, but simultaneously causes a massive oil spill, the media calls into question whether Supergirl is worth having around or not. Meanwhile, a monstrous alien escapes from the DEO prison and Alex asks Kara to help in tracking him down.

I like a better focus on Kara working with the DEO to track down dangerous aliens, also there’s a great fight scene between Alex and Kara that rivals some of the best fights on Arrow.

What I don’t like is that there’s still too much office politics and teasing relationships with Kara. I don’t care who Supergirl is dating, ultimately, but I don’t like Jimmy, or Winn either at this point, and I don’t think there should be a whole lot of focus on who likes who in this show. No offense to Jimmy or Winn fans, I know that everything gets better as this show goes on, including their characters. But, this early in, they’re basically only there so fans will hope one of them ends up with Kara.

A lot more action in this one, also I like the use of female Rock and Roll artists on the soundtrack. I hope both happen more as the show goes on.

+7.5: Much better than the somewhat sloppy start

-1: relationships, sigh, maybe I wouldn’t mind so much if my heart wasn’t so black, oh, I just realized this is yet another love triangle in Arrowverse as well…
