Peggy and Jarvis start digging up dirt on actress Whitney Frost, just as Frost starts understanding her new cursed powers. Meanwhile, we delve into Peggy’s past from her childhood up to her choice to become a spy during WWII.
I guess I got my joke-wish and they did add another genre. Unfortunately, that genre is melodrama as we flashback into Peggy’s past. I do understand the need for character building and more emotional parts like these, and I see that they wanted to add some more elements from other films of the time period, but these parts just feel a tad more cliche than what they’ve done so far with other genres.
Outside of that, Whitney is turning into a great supervillain. I both pity her and fear her, which is an odd combination that works so well I’m surprised it’s not more common in the comics. I’m very excited to see where her character is heading and how it will affect the rest of the show in things to come.
SCORING:
+10: This is a really great show, gotta say
-1: Past bits aren’t as innovative as the rest of the show
