MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. – “Yes Men” – When Coulson and his team are attacked by Lorelei-a deadly seductress who escaped from Asgard-Thor’s Lady Sif, her longtime nemesis, steps in to try to save them, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” TUESDAY, MARCH 11 (8:00-9:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Kelsey McNeal) MING-NA WEN, JAIMIE ALEXANDER

Air Date: March 11, 2014

Rating: 10/10

Lorelei, an Asgardian woman with the power to make men her slaves, crash lands on Earth and it’s up to the team, and Lady Sif from the Thor movies, to stop her. But when Ward is mind controlled, she’s setting her sights on ruling Shield.

Another one-shot episode, but a good one. I liked seeing Lady Sif get some character development and a little backstory, it’s not much for either but far more than she ever got in any of the Thor movies. I also enjoyed seeing Ward turn evil for a bit, and really wanted to see May kill him when they fought later. Not even in a “get rid of this guy” kind of way or anything, I just thought that would have been a neat way to end that scene. Maybe I’m weird…

Lorelei made for a really good villain. So good, in fact, she should be the villain in the next Thor movie, or at least get some sort of villainous side story. Okay, this is an old show I’m just starting, really, so she probably comes back on this show, but I’ll just have to wait and see.

+10: A great one-shot and maybe proof this show can, in fact, be good without being serialized, though maybe this is just another fluke…
