Lucifer continues his investigation into Chloe Decker as she investigates another murder. Both might discover they may have bitten off more than they can chew.
I’m still a bit confused that this is the shows gimmick. I mean, I’m fine with the devil solving crimes but it’s so weird to me seeing hims being the devil being the secondary part of the show instead of the primary driving force of the story. Instead it’s more about solving crimes and he just happens to be the devil. And it’s also strange to me it’s episodic. I feel like it would do better to be in a more serialized format like the rest of modern-day Arrowverse. But I guess that comes from it being a detective show, every episode is a different case.
Okay, well, aside from totally wasting this character so far, I thought this episode climaxed too early and then spent too much time on the denouement, so much I hardly remember what the mystery was they were trying to solve and instead I’m only thinking about the last ten minutes, which were kind of boring and really cliche, honestly. I think they wanted it to more focus on Luci’s growing friendship with Chloe, but it doesn’t do anything that was already set up in the first episode.
+3: I’m not sure what they’re trying to do with this show and I don’t know if the showrunners know either
-1: the ending just drags
